Rare antique Clichy three flower bouquet paperweight. A stunning trio of double-tiered clematis blossoms, each punctuated at its nexus by a unique complex cane, forms a bouquet gathered on stems, tied by a delicate pink ribbon and filled with textured green leaves, some with sparkling aventurine. One flower is shaded pink, another is white and red and the third is cobalt blue. Each flower is accompanied by a corresponding companion bud with a few green sepals. Clear ground. Rare antique Baccarat cross-patterned millefiori garlands pedestal paperweight. A star and arrow complex cane centers a ring of white stardust canes, each with a blue bull's-eye center, inside a ring of red fortress, red bull's-eyes and white stars complex canes. Semi-circle garlands emerge at the four quadrants of the inner garland and are dotted with a large white and blue pastry mold cane to create a cross pattern. A cross-patterned border garland of alternating white stardust and blue complex canes encircles the design. Clear ground. A white-encased blue torsade surrounds the perimeter of a footed clear base. Star and rod bundle canes, in bold red, green, blue, white and an accent of yellow cog, are spaced in concentric rings on a lacy white mushroom-like cushion that lies in the shadow cast by a dark translucent cobalt blue overlay. Dave Graeber and Jim Poore 2022 collaborative anthurium, rose, lilac and orange slice flower bouquet basket-cut paperweight. Red roses, orange anthurium flowers, lilac sprays, buds and white flowers burst out from oranges halves. Gordon Smith 2024 corn snake and succulents paperweight. A sinuous snake, with detailed white and mauve scales forming a sectional pattern on its back, raises its textured head and two black eyes to peak from behind a spiky gray succulent. It contorts on a rock-strewn pebbly ground framed by a magenta pink succulent near its tail, a yellow succulent to one side, amidst moss and pink succulent blossoms. Signature cane. Dated. Antique Saint Louis close concentric millefiori mushroom and torsade paperweight. A mushroom is centered by a large blue, white and coral complex cane encircled by five concentric rings of assorted complex canes, including rods, stars, hollow tubes and cogs, in salmon-pink, green, white and blue. The outer ring of white star canes is pulled down to form a tapered stem, which is encircled by a salmon pink-encased white chaplet bead torsade, topped by a mercury ring. Star-cut clear ground. A large cobalt blue flower, with a yellow core cupping a complex blue and white millefiori, has an unusual halo of alternating green, red and white sepals which launch an impressively lush cascade of curled green leaves and two red and white buds. Delmo Tarsitano lace-back salamander and blue flower environmental magnum paperweight. A salamander, with a black body topped by a latticinio dorsal pattern, strikes a pose near a dimensional upright blue flower, with a tuft of yellow stamens, which has sprouted from a fan of crenulated green leaves, next to a fallen tree limb with several clusters of green leaves. Very rare antique Boston & Sandwich Glass Company pair of poinsettias with Lutz roses paperweight. A fine white and green rose cane, from Nicholas Lutz, sits at the heart of each of two double-tiered poinsettias, one pink and one blue. The flowers are studded with lovely air bubbles and sport two green serrated leaves that peer out from behind their petals in a friendly and cheerful manner.
