Rare antique Baccarat 1848 scattered millefiori and Gridel silhouettes on stardust carpet ground paperweight. A coral-rimmed arrowhead cane is surrounded by an assortment of spaced concentric complex millefiori in brilliant shades of red, coral, yellow, purple, green and blue. Spaced amongst the millefiori is the picture cane of a red flower, as well as the Gridel silhouettes of a butterfly, a deer, a dog, a horse, two roosters, a monkey, a swan and an elephant. The canes are nestled in a dense carpet of red-centered white stardust canes, with a white upset muslin interior visible from the underside. Signature/date cane. Pontil scar. Diameter 2 13/16".
